OVERVIEW

    SOCIAL WORK IS A RELATIVELY YOUNG PROFESSION THE WORLD. OVER THE YEARS, THE SOCIAL SERVICE SECTOR BLOSSOMED AND SOCIAL WORK HAS BECOME A PROMISING CAREER FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ASPIRE TO WORK WITH PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS TO PROMOTE AND FACILITATE POSITIVE CHANGES IN THEIR LIVES. THIS PROGRAMME AIMS TO EQUIP STUDENTS FOR ENTRY INTO THE SOCIAL WORK PROFESSION. THE PROGRAMME IS DESIGNED TO DEVELOP YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AS POSITIVE CHANGE AGENTS IN SOCIETY AND IN THE LIVES OF THE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES YOU SERVE. THE PROGRAMME ALSO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR INDIRECT SOCIAL WORK IN THE AREAS OF SOCIAL POLICY, PLANNING AND EVALUATION.

Admission Requirements

REFER TO GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES.
   BESIDES MEETING THE COURSE REQUIREMENTS, APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RANK SOCIAL WORK WITHIN THE FIRST AND SECOND CHOICE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLISTING FOR INTERVIEW. THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL ADMISSION CRITERIA TO BETTER TARGET STUDENTS WHO ARE ALIGNED TO THE EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF OUR FULL-TIME PROGRAMMES. THIS WILL BE DONE THROUGH INTERVIEWS AND SELECTION TESTS.

Programme Structure

THIS IS A FOUR-YEAR DIRECT HONOURS FULL-TIME PROGRAMME. TO GRADUATE, STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A TOTAL OF ( A TOTAL OF 230 HOURS) 200 CREDIT UNITS (CU), WHICH INCLUDE:

• 75 CU OF ATBS CORE
• 110 CU OF MAJOR COMPULSORY COURSES
• 55 CU OF FREE ELECTIVES AND/OR MINOR

STUDENTS ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO COMPLETE SUPERVISED SOCIAL WORK FIELD EDUCATION (PRACTICUM), AN OVERSEAS EXPERIENCE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. THE ATBS

 CORE COURSES ARE DESIGNED TO HONE STUDENTS’ CONCEPTUAL AND WRITING ABILITIES ALONG WITH THEIR COMMUNICATION SKILLS. ATBS AIMS TO PRODUCE GRADUATES WHO ARE PROFESSIONALLY COMPETENT, SOCIAL-MINDED AND SELF-DIRECTED LEARNERS.

ခြုံငုံသုံးသပ်ချက်

          လူမှုရေးလုပ်ငန်းသည် ကမ္ဘာပေါ်တွင် လူငယ်များ အတွက် အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကျောင်း ပညာရပ် အလုပ်တစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။ နှစ်တွေကြာလာတာနဲ့အမျှ လူမှုဝန်ဆောင်မှုကဏ္ဍတွေ ပွင့်လန်းလာပြီး လူမှုဆက်ဆံရေးလုပ်ငန်းဟာ မတူကွဲပြားတဲ့ နောက်ခံလူတွေနဲ့ လက်တွဲလုပ်ကိုင်လိုတဲ့ လူငယ်များအတွက် အလားအလာကောင်းတဲ့ အသက်မွေးဝမ်း ကျောင်းတစ်ခု ဖြစ်လာခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဤပရိုဂရမ်သည် ကျောင်းသားများအား လူမှုရေး လုပ်ငန်းခွင်သို့ ဝင်ရောက်ရန် ရည်ရွယ်ပါသည်။ ဤပရိုဂရမ်သည် လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်းအတွင်း အပြုသဘောဆောင်သော ပြောင်းလဲမှု ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များအဖြစ် သင့်အသိပညာနှင့် အရည်အချင်းများကို ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်စေရန် ဒီဇိုင်းထုတ်ထားခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး သင်ကြားဝန်ဆောင်မှုပေးနေသည့် တစ်ဦးချင်း၊ မိသားစုများနှင့် အသိုင်းအဝိုင်းများ၏ ဘဝများဖြစ်သည်။ အဆိုပါပရိုဂရမ်သည် လူမှုရေးမူဝါဒ၊ အစီအစဉ်ရေးဆွဲခြင်းနှင့် အကဲဖြတ်ခြင်းဆိုင်ရာ နယ်ပယ်များတွင် သွယ်ဝိုက်သော လူမှုရေးလုပ်ငန်းများအတွက် ကျောင်းသားများကို ပြင်ဆင်ပေးပါသည်။

အချိန်ပြည့် ဘွဲ့ကြိုပရိုဂရမ်များအတွက် ယေဘူယ ဝင်ခွင့်သတ်မှတ်ချက်များ-

          သင်တန်းလိုအပ်ချက်များနှင့် ကိုက်ညီခြင်းအပြင် လျှောက်ထားသူများသည် အင်တာဗျူးအတွက် ဆန်ခါတင်စာရင်းတွင် ထည့်သွင်းစဉ်းစားရမည့် ပထမနှင့် ဒုတိယရွေးချယ်မှုအတွင်း လူမှုဝန်ထမ်းအဆင့် သတ်မှတ်ရန် လိုအပ်ပါသည်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏အချိန်ပြည့်ပရိုဂရမ်များ၏ ပညာရေးခံယူချက်နှင့်အညီ ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်သော ပစ်မှတ်ကျောင်းသားများအတွက် ဝင်ခွင့်စံနှုန်းများ ထပ်မံရှိပါမည်။ ၎င်းကို အင်တာဗျူးများနှင့် ရွေးချယ်မှုစာမေးပွဲများမှတစ်ဆင့် လုပ်ဆောင်မည်ဖြစ်သည်။

          ကျောင်းသားများသည် ကြီးကြပ်ထားသော လူမှုရေးလုပ်ငန်းနယ်ပယ်ပညာရေး (လက်တွေ့)၊ နိုင်ငံရပ်ခြားအတွေ့အကြုံနှင့် ရပ်ရွာထိတွေ့ဆက်ဆံမှုတို့ကို ပြီးမြောက်ရန်လည်း လိုအပ်ပါသည်။ ATBS CORE သင်တန်းများသည် ကျောင်းသားများ၏ တွေးခေါ်မှုနှင့် စာရေးစာဖတ် စွမ်းရည်များကို ၎င်းတို့၏ ဆက်သွယ်ရေးစွမ်းရည်နှင့်အတူ မြှင့်တင်ရန် ဒီဇိုင်းထုတ်ထားသည်။ ATBS သည် ပရော်ဖက်ရှင်နယ် အရည်အချင်းပြည့်မီသော၊ လူမှုရေးစိတ်ဖြင့် မိမိကိုယ်ကို လမ်းညွှန်ပေးသော ဘွဲ့ရသူများကို မွေးထုတ်ပေးရန် ရည်ရွယ်ပါသည်။

သင်ရိုးညွှန်းတမ်း  SYLLABUS DESIGN

Overview

Evolving societal, community and individual needs bring about heightened expectations of contemporary social workers, from both clients and employers.

To meet these challenges of the new era, leaders in the social services sector are required to play a vital role in guiding and grooming fellow social workers as well as to possess a wealth of knowledge in a specific field. This programme offers the key to satisfying this new role.

The Graduate Diploma and Master in Social Work programmes are practice-based programmes designed to prepare social workers aspiring to take up leadership positions in the social service sector. They aim to equip graduates with clinical social work skills, administration skills and supervision skills to function at management positions in the sector.

Unique Features of the Programme

• A special feature of this programme is the option of exiting with a graduate diploma or graduating with a master’s degree. Upon completion of the six compulsory core courses plus three pre-requisite courses and practicum, if applicable, students may choose to exit with a graduate diploma. Re-entry to the master’s programme may be allowed within the maximum candidature of 4 years.
• All courses are taught by established academics and professionals in leadership positions with vast real-time experiences, ensuring that issues discussed are always kept current and relevant for practical application.

The programme offers a specialisation track in Couple and Family Therapy which will train the student to work with couples and families having relational issues. The various models of family therapy like systemic, structural, strategic, experiential and others will be covered.

Admission Requirements

Refer to general admission criteria for graduate programmes.

For Couple and Family Therapy specialisation track, applicants should have good individual counselling skills, with at least one year of working experience with couples and families.

In the event of overwhelming demand and limited vacancy, priority will be given to eligible applicants who applied early. You are encouraged to submit your application early to avoid disappointment.

Programme Structure

Master of Social Work
Students are required to complete a total of 60 credit units (cu) with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 to graduate. The breakdown of the cu to be completed is:

• 30 cu of Core courses
• 20 cu of Electives courses¹
• 10 cu of Applied Research Project²

¹ The electives included in the programme are identified to enhance the expertise of social work professionals by allowing for specialisation in specific settings and with specific client groups.
² The applied research project may be substituted for two other elective courses.

Graduate Diploma in Social Work
Students are required to complete a total of 30 credit units (cu) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 to graduate.

• 30 cu of Core courses

Master of Social Work with Couple and Family Therapy specialisation
Students are required to complete a total of 60 credit units (cu) with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 to graduate. The breakdown of the cu to be completed is:

• 30 cu of Social Work Core courses
• 20 cu of CFT Core courses
• 10 cu of CFT Elective courses

Pre-requisite courses (for students without social work degree)
Three pre-requisite courses are designed to prepare the non-social work degree holders for entry into the graduate diploma/master's programme. A supervised practicum (400 hours) is also required for graduates to apply their knowledge in an actual social service setting.

ဤပရိုဂရမ်၏ အထူးအင်္ဂါရပ်မှာ ဘွဲ့လွန်ဒီပလိုမာတစ်ခုမှ ထွက်ခြင်း သို့မဟုတ် မဟာဘွဲ့ဖြင့် ဘွဲ့ရရှိခြင်း၏ ရွေးချယ်မှုဖြစ်သည်။ မသင်မနေရ ပင်မသင်တန်း ခြောက်ခုအပြင် ကြိုတင်လိုအပ်သည့် သင်တန်းများနှင့် လက်တွေ့အသုံးချမှု သုံးခုကို ပြီးမြောက်သည်နှင့် သက်ဆိုင်ပါက၊ ကျောင်းသားများသည် ဘွဲ့လွန်ဒီပလိုမာတစ်ခုမှ ထွက်ရန် ရွေးချယ်နိုင်သည်။ မာစတာ၏ပရိုဂရမ်သို့ပြန်လည်ဝင်ရောက်ခြင်းကိုအများဆုံးရွေးချယ်ခံရသူ 4 နှစ်အတွင်းခွင့်ပြုနိုင်သည်။ သင်တန်းများအားလုံးသည် အချိန်နှင့်တပြေးညီ အတွေ့အကြုံများစွာရှိသော ခေါင်းဆောင်မှုရာထူးများတွင် တည်ထောင်ထားသော ပညာရှင်များနှင့် ကျွမ်းကျင်ပညာရှင်များမှ သင်ကြားပို့ချပေးလျက်ရှိပြီး ဆွေးနွေးထားသော ကိစ္စရပ်များသည် အမြဲတမ်း လက်ရှိနှင့် လက်တွေ့အသုံးချမှုအတွက် သက်ဆိုင်ကြောင်း သေချာစေပါသည်။ ပရိုဂရမ်သည် စုံတွဲများနှင့် မိသားစုကုထုံးတွင် ကျောင်းသားအား ဆက်ဆံရေးပြဿနာများရှိသည့် စုံတွဲများနှင့် မိသားစုများနှင့် တွဲလုပ်ရန် လေ့ကျင့်ပေးမည့် Couple and Family Therapy တွင် အထူးပြုလမ်းကြောင်းကို ပံ့ပိုးပေးပါသည်။ စနစ်ကျသော၊ ဖွဲ့စည်းတည်ဆောက်ပုံ၊ ဗျူဟာ၊ အတွေ့အကြုံနှင့် အခြားအရာများကဲ့သို့သော မိသားစုကုထုံး၏ အမျိုးမျိုးသောပုံစံများကို အကျုံးဝင်မည်ဖြစ်သည်။

ဘွဲ့လွန်ပရိုဂရမ်များအတွက် အထွေထွေဝင်ခွင့်သတ်မှတ်ချက်များ

Couple and Family Therapy အထူးပြုလမ်းကြောင်းအတွက် လျှောက်ထားသူများသည် ဇနီးမောင်နှံများနှင့်မိသားစုများရှိပြီးနှင့် လုပ်ငန်းအတွေ့အကြုံ အနည်းဆုံး တစ်နှစ်ရှိသင့်ပြီး တစ်ဦးချင်း အကြံဉာဏ်ပေးခြင်း ကျွမ်းကျင်မှု ကောင်းမွန်ရမည်။

လိုအပ်ချက် များပြားပြီး လစ်လပ်နေရာ အကန့်အသတ်ရှိပါက စောစီးစွာ လျှောက်ထားသည့် အရည်အချင်းပြည့်မီသူများကို ဦးစားပေးပါမည်။ စိတ်ပျက်စရာများကိုရှောင်ရှားရန် သင်၏လျှောက်လွှာကို စောစီးစွာတင်ပြရန် တိုက်တွန်းအပ်ပါသည်။

ပရိုဂရမ်ဖွဲ့စည်းပုံ

လူမှုရေးလုပ်ငန်းမဟာကျောင်းသားများသည် ဘွဲ့ရရန် အနည်းဆုံး 3.0 အဆင့် အမှတ်ပျမ်းမျှ (CGPA) ဖြင့် စုစုပေါင်း ခရက်ဒစ်ယူနစ် 60 (cu) ကို ပြီးမြောက်ရန် လိုအပ်သည်။ အပြီးသတ်ရန် cu ၏ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာချက်မှာ-

20 cu ရွေးချယ်မှုသင်တန်းများ ၁

အသုံးချသုတေသနပရောဂျက် ၂

1 အစီအစဉ်တွင် ပါဝင်သော ရွေးချယ်မှုများကို သီးခြားဆက်တင်များနှင့် သီးခြားဖောက်သည်အုပ်စုများနှင့်အတူ အထူးပြုခွင့်ပြုခြင်းဖြင့် လူမှုရေးလုပ်ငန်းကျွမ်းကျင်ပညာရှင်များ၏ ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုကို မြှင့်တင်ရန် ဖော်ထုတ်ထားသည်။

2 အသုံးချသုတေသနပရောဂျက်ကို အခြားရွေးချယ်မှုသင်တန်းနှစ်ခုအတွက် အစားထိုးနိုင်ပါသည်။

လူမှုရေးလုပ်ငန်းဘွဲ့လွန်ဒီပလိုမာ

ကျောင်းသားများသည် ဘွဲ့ရရန်အတွက် အနည်းဆုံး CGPA 2.5 ဖြင့် စုစုပေါင်း ခရက်ဒစ်ယူနစ် 30 (cu) ကို ပြီးမြောက်ရန် လိုအပ်သည်။

Core သင်တန်းများ 30 cu

ဇနီးမောင်နှံနှင့် မိသားစုကုထုံး အထူးပြုဖြင့် လူမှုရေးလုပ်ငန်းမဟာ ကျောင်းသားများသည် ဘွဲ့ရရန်အတွက် အနည်းဆုံး CGPA 3.0 ဖြင့် စုစုပေါင်း ခရက်ဒစ်ယူနစ် 60 (cu) ကို ပြီးမြောက်ရန် လိုအပ်သည်။ အပြီးသတ်ရန် cu ၏ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာချက်မှာ-

Social Work Core သင်တန်းများ 30 cu

CFT Core သင်တန်းများ 20 cu

CFT Elective သင်တန်းများ 10 ခု

လိုအပ်သော သင်တန်းများ (လူမှုရေး ဘွဲ့မရသော ကျောင်းသားများအတွက်)

ဘွဲ့လွန်ဒီပလိုမာ/မာစတာပရိုဂရမ်သို့ ဝင်ခွင့်အတွက် လူမှုရေးအလုပ်မဟုတ်သော ဘွဲ့ကိုင်ဆောင်သူများအတွက် ကြိုတင်ပြင်ဆင်ထားသော သင်တန်းသုံးခုကို ဒီဇိုင်းထုတ်ထားသည်။ ဘွဲ့ရကျောင်းသားများသည် ၎င်းတို့၏ အသိပညာကို အမှန်တကယ် လူမှုရေးဝန်ဆောင်မှုပေးသည့်အခြေအနေတွင် အသုံးချရန် ကြီးကြပ်မှုလက်တွေ့ (နာရီ 400) လိုအပ်ပါသည်။
